Children’s Ministry

Ministry Mission

Our mission: To help children discover and develop a living relationship with Jesus Christ by providing Christian education, spiritual guidance, and an understanding of the basic doctrine of our faith.  We will fulfill our mission by creating family ministries that promote parental and community involvement, encourage consistent communication, address challenging issues, and build Christian values so children “….will soar on wings like eagles, they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”  Isaiah 40:31

A Note From The Children’s Minister:

Hello Wonderful Families,
For some, your kiddos have finished another school year and for others we are in the home stretch! Congrats parents and grandparents for helping your children through another great year!! You are amazing😍 As we begin these short summer months please remember that we will continue to have Spark at 10:00 but we will be taking a break from Children’s Worship during the 9:00 and 11:00 services. I will put some extra activities in the service bags in case the children need them. Also, this summer we will be using a new curriculum, “Deep Blue”, and I’m excited to see how the kids react to the new characters.  Listed below are several updates/reminders. There’s a lot going on next month! If you have not signed up your children for VBS, please do so soon. We have less than 50 spots remaining! On the opposite note, we need more kids for our GROW Day Camp on July 22-26th. It’s an all day camp for rising 1st-rising 6th graders. You can find out more and register at

Minister to Children

Children With Special Needs

We believe God has given us a wonderful and unique opportunity to support families by providing a safe, loving, Christ-focused program for special needs children while parent(s) and siblings attend worship, Sunday School, and serve at Hickory Flat Church.

Child Safety

We put children first. We believe that a church should be a safe place for all children and youth. We have developed guidelines, policies, and procedures to reduce the risk of child abuse in our family of faith and for reporting and responding to an allegation of abuse. We have a Safe Sanctuary policy in place and all volunteers and staff who work with children submit to a background check.
