Service Opportunities For Children

Serving God is a choice. It sounds easy to do, but sometimes it’s hard. It means following Jesus, not other people. It means treating others with kindness, even when you don’t feel like it. And sometimes, serving God means giving up something you want in order to give it to someone else.

Outreach Missions

Children learn to be servants by serving. During regular Sunday and Wednesday ministries, the children have many opportunities to serve through small mission projects. Vacation Bible School week always highlights a specific outreach mission opportunity.

Children in second through fifth grade may be trained to serve as acolytes during the 11am worship service. Acolytes light the candles at the beginning of the worship time and extinguish them at the end. Training usually occurs at the beginning of the school year. Watch for announcements.
